The Description of the Signs of the Hour

Ṣifāt al-Ashrāṭ al-Sā‘ah

This book is a critical edition of the renowned Islamic scholar and jurist al-Sarakhsī’s work, which I discovered as a manuscript at the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris (manuscript number 1800). Although a second copy is listed in the catalog of the Süleymaniye Library of Manuscripts in Istanbul, the manuscript is unfortunately not available upon request and is most likely lost. This critical edition was published in Cairo by Dār al-Kalimah al-Ṭayyibah in 1993.
